I Love Vinyl

Coming from a person who is a serious digger/collector (a.k.a Brian), apparently this is all real life. The video is hilarious and I'm pretty sure this is going to be our lives this summer in NYC. Check out I Love Vinyl for more videos and other goodies about collecting.

One Time for Your Mind

This post was trending on Tumblr, and I felt like it was necessary to have on here. Words of wisdom to live by. Also, this girl's blog is pretty inspiring if you're struggling to find motivation to lose weight. Check it out.

RTB '12...or Lack Thereof

I have feelings. Feelings, thoughts, and opinions about this year's Rock the Bells lineup, dates, and venues. I wouldn't exactly call them positive feelings, thoughts or opinions. Actually they're pretty much as negative as you could imagine. I don't have to say much about the dates/venues that aren't exactly self explanatory: RTB is going to Jersey instead of New York, and they're only going to 3 cities, 2 of which are in California. Moving on. Just for the purpose of clarification, I couldn't be happier that Black Hippy made the line up (Kendrick, Schoolboy, Ab-Soul), but I think everyone who knows about a Hip Hop Festival like Rock the Bells  knows that they probably shouldn't be headlining. As for Wiz Khalifa being one of the headliners, well I made "the Dobby face" when I saw that. The Dobby face, as my friends and I call it, looks something like this... O_O. It usually indicates some sort of shock and confusion to a situation. Wiz Khalifa can headline Paid Dues all he wants, but don't come over here at Rock the Bells and act like that's okay. In 2008, the legendary group A Tribe Called Quest, a group that I have blogged about countless times, headlined Rock the Bells, and last year Blackstar performed their one and only classic album in full. And this year? Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, and TYGA are on the bill. Yea..."Rack City" Tyga. Some real conscious hip-hop right there. I couldn't be more disgusted with the lineup this year nor any more disappointed. I wish Nas and Common the best of luck with their performances, because for the first time at RTB, the majority of people who will be attending have probably never heard of them.

Song of the Day: Guess Who's Back

"But the game ain't the same since I left out (left the house? I'm not sure)"

I don't even know what made me think of this particular song, but I think it's hilarious that I did. I forgot how dope this beat is and I'm glad to know I had some taste in music when I was younger.  Well you can obviously imagine why this song is song of the day. If not....

1) I'M HOME!
2) I'M BACK TO BLOGGING

Replace "Mase" with "TheFancyClown" and "Welcome Back" literally was written about my absence from the blogger world. And I'm almost certain there were kids in the airport singing this at me when I landed -- I'm so serious. I couldn't be happier that my finals are done and I am actually a junior in college. Okay that last part still freaks me out but I can deal with it, I guess. This summer is going to be amazing and I'm going to be blogging like crazy. I'll be home for 2 weeks and then it's NYC all summer long. Stay with me people, I ain't leavin again.
