Winter's Eve, Stay for the Food

Thursday, December 1, 2011

On Monday November 29th, Lincoln Square was transformed into something like a winter wonderland combined with a food expo and an outdoor concert -- genius. Some of the girls from my team decided to head down there fordinner and it's safe to say it was the best decision we've made in a while.

Some of the priciest and nicest restaurants came out for the event and offered food off their menu in a food sampling style and the food only cost $1-5. I didn't get the chance to take any pictures of the food, but I can just tell you what we had:

-tomato and cheddar bisque
-creamy cheese tortellini topped with almonds and radicchio
-hot apple cider
-warm chocolate chip cookie
-chicken burger
-magnolia's red velvet cupcake
-baked lasagna

This doesn't even cover half of things
the reataurants at Winter's Eve had to offer. PJ Clark's had a line around a corner and down the block for their famous burgers and the lines at the food tents at Columbus Circle were unbelievable. The menus ranged from Indian to French to Bakery style to Chowder House. Winter's Eve also ha music, dancing, and other activities going on, but being the person that I am, I stayed for the food
